Freelance Website Design
Myriad has experience working on multiple websites, including VTx, as a front-end developer. Now, I’m expanding into freelance work, helping small businesses showcase their services, strengthen their brand, and connect with their audience.
My front-end development journey has been shaped by a combination of accessibility-focused design, CMS management, and user experience optimization across various projects.
One of the most impactful projects I contributed to was assisting with the Virginia Tech x Mobile Interface, where I focused on understanding and addressing accessibility challenges. This involved managing different components within a Content Management System (CMS) and designing layouts using Adobe XD to ensure usability across diverse user needs. The goal was to create an intuitive, inclusive experience that aligned with best practices in mobile interface design. The platform served as a hub for weaving together various types of content, including campus news, features, notices, and videos, ensuring that readers had access to the latest stories and events happening around campus.
Beyond that, I developed two distinct websites catering to different audiences. The first was for a small business hairdresser, designed to help manage bookings, services, pricing, directions, and imagery—giving the business an online presence that streamlined customer interactions and improved service efficiency.
The second was a blog site for a Virginia Tech enthusiast, built to showcase content on sports stories, campus hot topics, food hall ratings, and site recommendations. The site structure emphasized easy navigation and engaging layouts, enabling readers to explore his perspectives and ratings on Virginia Tech culture.
Across all these projects, I honed skills in responsive web design, accessibility considerations, CMS integration, and user-focused development, ensuring each website met the unique needs of its audience while maintaining functionality and aesthetic appeal. I am willing to work with you to build an exact website.
